Plain-language program terms

Please read these terms before applying. They explain how referrals are credited, when commissions qualify, and the standards every affiliate must follow.

1. Acceptance and eligibility

These Affiliate Program Terms form an agreement between you and Standardize It. By applying to or participating in the program, you confirm that you have authority to enter this agreement, that the information you provide is accurate, and that you will comply with these terms and applicable law.

Applications are reviewed individually. We may approve or decline an application at our discretion and may request additional information before making a decision. Participation is not available where prohibited by law.

2. Referral tracking and attribution

Approved affiliates receive unique referral links. A referral is generally tracked for 90 days after a visitor uses your link, subject to browser settings, cookie consent, technical limitations, and the attribution rules shown in the affiliate portal. If more than one affiliate refers a customer, the referral credited by our tracking system will control.

We cannot promise that every visit or purchase will be tracked. You must use the referral links and promotional tools provided through the program and must not interfere with or attempt to manipulate tracking.

3. Commissions, reversals, and payouts

The current standard commission is 20% on eligible purchases, unless a different rate is displayed in your affiliate portal or agreed to in writing. This includes directly referred one-time template purchases and the initial payment for an eligible membership.

Launch offer: apply between October 1, 2026 and December 29, 2026 and, once approved by the Standardize It team, earn 30% instead of the standard 20% rate. Your 30% launch rate is locked in for 12 months from the approval date, including eligible purchases and eligible membership renewal payments during those 12 months. After the first 12 months, the standard 20% rate applies, and renewals after the first 12 months pay the standard 20% rate. The Standardize It team may decline any application.

Eligible membership renewal payments may earn subscription commission for up to 365 days from the original referred purchase. Separate future purchases by the same customer do not earn commission unless the customer completes that purchase through a qualifying affiliate referral or we expressly state otherwise.

Approved commissions are paid monthly by Interac e-Transfer (preferred, for Canadian bank accounts) or by PayPal as the backup option. Payouts are sent to the payout email the affiliate gives us for the affiliate account. The minimum payout threshold is CA$50. Eligible balances below the threshold carry forward to a future payout period.

Commissions remain pending for at least 30 days after the qualifying transaction to allow for refunds, cancellations, chargebacks, fraud review, and other adjustments. Payout batches may use an earlier cutoff date to ensure this review period has elapsed.

Commissions are not earned on taxes, refunded or cancelled orders, chargebacks, fraudulent transactions, duplicate transactions, self-referrals, test purchases, or purchases that violate these terms. If commission has already been recorded or paid for an ineligible transaction, we may reverse the amount or deduct it from a future payout.

Affiliates are responsible for maintaining accurate payout information and for any taxes, reporting obligations, payment fees, or currency-conversion costs associated with their earnings. We are not responsible for delays caused by incorrect or incomplete payout information.

4. Promotion and disclosure requirements

Your promotions must be truthful, accurate, and based on genuine experience. You must clearly and prominently disclose your material connection to us whenever you use an affiliate link or promote our products. The disclosure must be easy to notice and understand, appear with the promotion, and comply with the rules that apply to your audience and platform.

You may describe yourself as a “Standardize It affiliate” or “Standardize It partner,” but you may not imply that you are our employee, agent, authorized representative, or exclusive partner. You may not make promises, legal claims, earnings claims, or product claims that we have not approved in writing.

You must not state or imply that our products cover Quebec, are available in French, or can be used by more than one business under a single purchase.

5. Prohibited activities

You must not:

  • send spam or commercial messages without the required consent and unsubscribe mechanism;
  • use misleading, deceptive, discriminatory, unlawful, or offensive content;
  • bid on our company name, trademarks, product names, or confusingly similar terms in paid search without written permission;
  • register or use domains, social handles, accounts, or advertisements that impersonate us or create confusion about their source;
  • place referral links through forced clicks, cookie stuffing, hidden frames, adware, toolbars, automated traffic, or other artificial methods;
  • purchase through your own link, coordinate sham transactions, offer unauthorized rebates, or otherwise inflate commissions;
  • copy, redistribute, resell, or provide unauthorized access to our paid templates, memberships, or protected content.

6. Brand assets and intellectual property

While you remain an approved affiliate, we grant you a limited, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the approved links, logos, and promotional materials we provide solely to promote eligible Standardize It offerings. You must follow our brand guidance, keep materials current, and promptly remove or correct them when requested.

All ownership rights remain with us and our licensors. No other licence or right is granted, and you may not alter our marks or use them in a way that harms or dilutes the brand.

7. Privacy and confidential information

We use application, referral, and payout information to operate and administer the program, prevent fraud, communicate with affiliates, and meet legal obligations. We may use trusted service providers to support program administration. Our Privacy Policy also applies to information we handle.

You must protect any non-public information you receive through the program and use it only for authorized program purposes. You may not collect or use customer personal information on our behalf unless we have expressly authorized it in writing and you comply with all applicable privacy and security requirements.

8. Independent relationship

You participate as an independent contractor. Nothing in these terms creates an employment, agency, franchise, fiduciary, joint venture, or partnership relationship. You have no authority to bind us, make commitments for us, or incur obligations in our name.

9. Suspension and termination

Either party may end participation at any time. We may suspend tracking, withhold payment, or terminate an account immediately if we reasonably suspect fraud, abuse, legal or brand risk, a breach of these terms, or conduct that may harm customers or our reputation.

When participation ends, you must stop using our affiliate links and brand assets. Properly earned and approved commissions recorded before termination remain subject to validation, reversals, payout thresholds, and these terms. Sections that by their nature should continue will survive termination.

10. Program changes and availability

We may modify, pause, or discontinue the program, these terms, commission rates, eligibility rules, or promotional materials. Material changes will be posted on this page or communicated through the affiliate portal or email. Continued participation after the effective date of a change constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.

Changes to commission rates do not lower a launch rate during its 12-month lock-in period, unless your participation is suspended or ends under section 9.

11. Disclaimers and responsibility

The program, tracking tools, and promotional materials are provided on an “as available” basis. To the extent permitted by law, we do not promise uninterrupted operation or any level of traffic, referrals, commissions, or earnings. Each party remains responsible for its own acts, omissions, content, systems, and legal compliance.

To the extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue, data, or goodwill arising from the program. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded.

12. General terms and contact

These terms, together with the program settings and any written program-specific terms, are the entire agreement concerning your participation. If one provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in effect. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. You may not assign your participation without our written consent.

Questions about these terms or the affiliate program can be sent through our Contact Us page or by mail to Standardize It, 60 Brighton Court, Winnipeg, MB R2C 0X9.
