Course Overview

Every small business has tasks that live in someone’s head. When that person is busy, away or leaves, the work gets done a different way, or not at all. A standard operating procedure (SOP) fixes that by putting the steps on paper so anyone on your team can follow them.

In this course, you’ll write your first SOP from start to finish. You’ll follow a fictional Canadian trucking company, Quarlow Freight, as it turns its morning truck check into a clear SOP, and you’ll build your own alongside it, one short lesson and one fillable Word worksheet at a time. No HR team or experience with SOPs needed.

By the end of this course, you’ll be able to:

• Choose the right process to document first
